One of India’s most important tyre manufacturers – CEAT Limited has recently partnered with the Maharashtra Motor Vehicles Department and the Maharashtra State Traffic Development Corporation (MSRDC) to launch an extensive highway traffic safety programme. While driving on the Hindu Hrudaysamrat Balasaheb Thackeray Maharashtra Samruddhi Mahamarg, one of the most important things a driver can do is make sure their tyres are in good condition and have the appropriate amount of air in them. This is the primary purpose of this group’s attempt to work together. The first phase of this project is scheduled to last for three months, and after that, it will be extended to encompass other routes across the state of Maharashtra.

Distinguished dignitaries, including the Transport Commissioner of Maharashtra, Vivek Bhimanwar, Allwyn Vaz, Head of Corporate Affairs at RPG Group, Shrinivas Patki, Vice President of Plant Operations at CEAT’s Nashik Plant, Sunil Kumar Jha, Chief Customer Service Officer-Global at CEAT, and other senior officials from MSRDC and CEAT were present for the inauguration of the road safety initiative on Samruddhi Mahamarg.

As part of the programme, kiosks that provide nitrogen-filling services will be put up. These services, which will assist in preserving the correct tyre pressure for a longer time, will help the effort succeed. Because of this, the likelihood of a tyre blowout due to underinflation will be substantially reduced. In addition, trained specialists will examine the state of the tyres to look for any symptoms of wear and tear. This will ensure that drivers are informed of the health of their tyres and may take appropriate action if it is essential to do so. In addition to this, the kiosks will provide services like valve inspections and puncture repairs in order to address any concerns that may affect the overall performance and safety of the tyres.

The Chief Marketing Officer of CEAT Limited, Lakshmi Narayanan B, underlined the firm’s commitment to safety and its efforts in guaranteeing secure mobility experiences for residents. She said that the company would not compromise on safety. CEAT recognised the urgent need to increase awareness and execute road safety services after becoming aware of the worrisome rise in the number of incidents that have occurred on the Samruddhi Mahamarg. CEAT has formed a relationship with the highly regarded Maharashtra Motor Vehicles Department and the Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRDC) with the intention of fostering more responsible driving behaviours not just on the Samruddhi Mahamarg but also on other highways. Before setting out on any trip, the tyre major strongly recommends that all drivers make prioritising this particular component of driver safety a top priority.
