I’m quite lucky that despite working at a keyboard for most of my days no one is tracking me or checking in if I am away from the keyboard (AFK). One tactic sometimes deployed by those in the remotely monitored situation is a mouse jiggler, a device that periodically moves the pointer so your machine appears active. The AFK Mouse Jiggler is a great solution for that and adds more useful functionality to remain useful even when you are at your desk.
The AFK Mouse Jiggler is fully assembled; you just need a micro USB cable to get up and running. You press the jiggler button to toggle the Jiggle mode on and off and there is an LED to indicate when the jiggle is active. The resulting mouse jiggle is enough to keep your machine in an active state but it is an almost indiscernible movement so you can actually leave the jiggle mode active whilst you are working, perfect as you then won’t need to remember to turn it on when you go AFK. If you have a tiny doohickey attached while you are on your keyboard it may as well provide some other function and the AFK jiggler has a neat and useful pair of single-press copy-and-paste buttons on board.
